Sunny Memories...

Ok, so by now you may have worked out that I'm obsessed with sunny weather, so I thought with all this rain we've been having I'd peek back to our holiday snaps from Wales (only 3 weeks ago - but seems like an eternity!).
You know that week where Britain bathed in mega-high temperatures? Well, for once we were lucky and had chosen, way back in January, to go on holiday that very week. Hoorah!

(This goes some way to explaining my sun obsession - when you've experienced a week in Wales with weather such as this then you don't want it to end!)

Expecting wind, rain and 'cool' we were armed with fleece, waterproofs, wellies and gloves. Fortunately at the last minute I threw in a pair of shorts each and some suncream. I didn't think we'd need to use them!

If you've never experienced the truly beautiful coastline and countryside in West Wales, I would recommend it 100%. Ok, so a bit of sun always improves a holiday, but *wow* this place is hard to beat. Castles galore, hidden sandy coves, beach caves and waterfalls, peace and quiet.

So it was with sadness when I saw the pictures of the massive floods that hit this part of Wales earlier this week. Here's to a *real* wish for sunnier weather and less rain, so the clear-up can begin and the residents of this region can once again enjoy their wonderful surroundings x

    1. It is shocking that out of nowhere your home can be destroyed in hours, and this flippin rain still won't stop..come on we've had enough!

  2. Been wanting to go to that area of Wales for a while, looks wonderful.
The weather makes a huge different and good luck to wales now with the big clean up.
Please can the sun shine soon.

  3. I love that picture of the stones Jen - so pretty. And I feel for these communities too, it must just be heartbreaking having your home and lives destroyed like that. x

    1. Thanks Jen, I felt like Andy Goldsworthy for 5 minutes! And believe it or not the stone circle was still there 5 days later!
