The Saturday Sketch

Ok ok, I know its Monday, but I had a little idea on Saturday, and this is the first time I've had chance to think about it properly, or write it down.
So I have decided to keep you guys entertained, and myself creatively brimming with a little weekly challenge.
No, don't worry, you don't have to join in, (unless you want to of course..you never know!) this is a challenge to myself, to keep the creative juices flowing, and possibly help when I'm a bit stuck for inspiration (which is currently happening).
Every week I *hope* to post a Saturday Sketch.
It can be anything, in any form, so we're not expecting miracles here, it's likely they will be in pencil, maybe pen, will doubtless involve more words than pictures, be based upon something we've done or made or how I'm feeling... and they will quite probably be messy. But hey, thats the nature of my Saturday Sketch.

First up:
And yes, we (I) made it, and it is yum. And lovely comfort food it is for this freeezin' weather today!

Hope you enjoy this little peek into my sketchbook x

    1. Thanks Nikki, thanks for stopping by my blog! Have you seen my little shop, full of more lettering type stuff, just a bit better presented than this sketch! Off to swallow barn to catch up with you!

  2. Great idea! Love your sketch too. I would love to be the type to be whipping my sketch book out left right and centre but more often than not I find that days and even weeks can pass with it just left gathering dust. Making a date with your sketchbook every Saturday sounds like a great incentive to draw. Something for me to think about, thanks! X

    1. Thanks Anna, you have lovely work too, it would be great if you felt inspired enough to join me whenever it takes you fancy! (I'm fairly certain I'll be dipping in and put of this challenge depending on how well the children behave or how much washing up I have to get through in any given week!) x

    1. Yes thanks Chel, it has made me think about writing some more recipes this way..as long as they haven't got too many ingredients!! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment x

  8. I love the way you've lettered this, makes a lovely sounding recipe a work of art. I think this would look really good framed on the wall. I've always enjoyed lettering since my dog eared primary school copy of the Lettering Book (which I still have!). Sadly not too much time for it these days. Yours is quite inspiring.
